A New Type of Word Book

Hi everyone!

I am so excited to share with you a new type of word book I have created. This video shows you three of them.

If anyone wants a tutorial video for making these just let me know and I can do one for you. The steps are pretty much the same as they were in my last post and video on making a word book. It's actually easier than a typical word book because you dont have to stretch each page. Like I said, just let me know if you would like more information on how to make this in either Design Studio or Gypsy.

Here a couple pics of some other books I have done since I made this video.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy crafting!!

Wedding Shower Card - New Cuttlebug Technique

Hey everyone! I am so happy to share this card with you! It took some research, but it was surprisingly easy! The inspiration for this card came from The Cuttlebug Spot's blog - with a new technique called Double Embossing. I had to alter the way they did it because of product availability - so I wanted to share with you how I did it.

First I made a A2 size card on my Design Studio program (you can also do this on your Gypsy). Because I had the size and image decided for the card, I measured where the stamp that I wanted non-embossed to be. I also measured the size of the actual stamped imaged.

I made a rectangle the size of my image and placed it in the card template in DS. I cut out two of these from chipboard.

After I cut out both pieces I placed the stamp inside the hole in the template to double check my sizes and placement.

I then ran everything through my cuttlebug. Here's the sandwich:
A plate
embossing folder with paper in it
both templates (lightly adhered together)
C plate

Here is the finished paper after it has been cuttlebuged :)

I had cut the bride from the Sweet Hearts Cartridge @ 4 1/2 inches. I placed the bride on the card with pop dots.

I wet-embossed "Congrats" with a stamp I purchased at my local HL.

Thanks for looking!

Let's Eat! Thanksgiving Dinner LO

Hello everyone!!

Just wanted to share with you a quick page I put together the other night. I wanted to highlight our Thanksgiving family gathering. This was my first year to be grandma's official assistant for the entire thanksgiving dinner process. I learned so much from her and cant wait to do it again this year!

The recipe card is cut at 3" with From My Kitchen.

I created "Let's Eat!" in design studio with George & Basic Shapes and Lyrical Letters. Here is the DS cut file. Or you can check in the upper right hand side of my blog. I have to give MAJOR credit to two wonderful ladies over on the Cricut Circle message board for helping me with my dilemma in creating the .cut file. Doxieluv and LAs-Cricut saved the day!

Thanks for looking and happy crafting!!
